Honda Grom oil pickup for stunts. Oil runs dry when bike is in any kind of wheelie causing premature wear on the piston and cylinder. This mod will keep oil flowing 100% of the time. Fits 13-2020 Honda Grom and Honda Monkey

Install instructions for stock Honda Grom

*Tools Needed*

-12mm wrench for stock 17-21 exhaust-rearset mount

-19mm to remove swingarm nut

-12mm socket to remove lower rearset bolt

-8mm socket for 10 side cover bolts

-10mm socket/wrench to remove pump.

Install Instructions-

1) Lay the bike on its left side. I usually lean it against a chair or something short to prevent oil from coming out. If you are changing the oil you can drain it first and leave the bike upright.

2) Remove right side rearset and tie it up behind the shock.

3) Remove 10 qty 8mm clutch cover bolts

4) Tap side cover around the edges and lift off, be careful not to tear the gasket. Always good to keep a spare on hand.

5) locate oil pump on the front lower section and remove 3 10mm bolts.

6) remove the pump from the motor by lifting up and toward the front of the bike, ensuring the dowel pins do not fall into the cracks of the motor, if so retrieve with a small magnet.

7) remove the two dowel pins from the stock pump and place them into the modded pump. This ensures proper alignment of the oil ports.

8) insert the pump into the motor lining up the gear and the dowel pins.

9) tighten down the three 10mm bolts on the pump, and ensure pump looks like photo #4 with the pickup on the bottom of the case.

10) assemble the bike in reverse order as it was disassembled.

Take advantage of the bike being apart and clean the oil spinner and square filter screen.

It is recommended to use the stock pump during the break in process and change oil every 600 miles. Honda GN4 has done me well.

By taking the rearset off, the footbrake tail light sensor may have come unplugged. Once the bike is together, press on the foot brake to make sure the tail light gets brighter. If it does not, check the wires that are plugged into the harness. adjust light sensor to desired pressure.
