This first edition volume features authentic First Nations illustrations

by the author. Group of Seven artist Emily Carr willed her brushes,

oils and blank canvasses to Clutesi, which he used to produce this art.

This collectible volume includes an introduction by the author and many

full page drawings, a photograph of the author, a decorative title page

and 12 folklore stories of the Native people of Canada's west coast -

fables handed down from generation to generation in the Clutesi family

for at least 400 years..


George Clutesi of the Port Alberni Tseshaht Nation was a writer, an artist, an actor, and a teacher.
