Instructions - These are very simple to take apart and put back together. There is a few videos on YouTube (search "repair Bowflex dumbbells") that show how to do this. The videos may show the 552 or the 1090 models but they are pretty much the same. Just be careful not to lose the springs or bearings when taking apart. There is a total of four bearings and four springs for each handle or two each for each side of the handle. For both the 552 and 1090 models you will only need TWO ratchets and TWO 19mm sockets (dont need to be deep) to change out most parts. If you are changing out the Tab or the Inner End Cap you will need a Hex T-8 bit. The only places there are some very light oil/grease is on the main rod/shaft and on each side of the metal disc. Again, its very light so its up to you if you would like to add any to it while repairing.
