This is a custom piece of fashion that you can't buy in stores (like the Real Real), it's from celebrity auction house Julien's Auctions, who in 2021 worked with the one and only Miss Jackson herself, JANET JACKSON, to host a sale of some of her most prized collectibles, personal items, autographed memorabilia, clothes and props from her legendary music career. (Everything from her most popular early music videos like Control, & Rhythm Nation all the way up to 2021.) She is music royalty, with so many Grammy's, BET Awards & VMA's we've stopped counting.
The item for sale here is one of her male backup dancer's denim costume from her 2011 NUMBER ONES TOUR. It was stage worn in concert by one of her dancers but was kept in excellent condition. (Since purchased from Julien's it was only worn for these photos.) If purchased you will receive two incredible pieces, the jacket and pants (no white tee or shoes are included.) The jacket is a Levi Strauss SIZE SMALL, and has a patch sewn onto each sleeve, with the back featuring a really cool hand drawn eagle design and 3/4 length sleeves. It's very unique because it was made to have tails, almost like a tux jacket but also made out of demin. The jeans are also Levi Strauss SIZE W33xL32 (and are very slim fit). They too have been customized with additional demin strips to the front of each leg and a thin pair of red suspenders that have been sewn to the garment. This is fully original, custom denim fashion! (Not a collectible ever available in stores.)
The two items will come in an official Julian's Auctions garment bag, as well as the tag from the auction which has a photo of Janet on one side and the lot #924 from the auction on the back AND I am also including the printed paperback "Gallery Guide" from the weekend which lists out all of the items that were for sale (text only, no photos in the guide) which measures 8.5"x11".
This is perfect for the ultimate Janet Jackson fan or if you just like fashion and want a really cool, original and custom outfit then this is it! The clothing you are buying is not limited edition, but literally one of a kind. (The only thing that would make it better would be is Janet autographed it herself!)
