Micro Electronic Pull Type DC 4-6V Solenoid Electromagnetic Brake Assembly

This is a great quality micro electric solenoid. Solenoids are basically electromagnets, which are made of a big coil of copper wire with an armature (a slug of metal) in the middle. 

For this solenoid, when the power is off, the slug is pulled in (held by the magnet). When the power is on and the coil is energised, the slug is released and pushed out and away from the magnet. The electromagnet is stronger than the magnet. 

Instructions

1)      Connect the one wire to positive and the other wire to negative.

2)      Turning the current on will pull the slug out and turning it off will push the slug in
