Item Description: For sale today is one 10MHz isolated distribution amplifier board with four outputs for use with an OCXO or Rubidium source. This board has BNC connectors mounted horizontally on the front (picture with white BNCs). This board is larger than the original board as it now has 1" between BNC connectors vs 0.75" on the previous board. Boards with vertical connectors mounted on the back side are available in another listing, good for mounting on a rack panel.

See my other listing for a four channel Distribution Amplifier Expander board.

The BNC connectors are name brand (currently AMP TYCO). Nuts and washers for the BNC connectors are included.

Condition: This is a new (for now hand assembled) board that will take a 0dBm sine wave input and produce four 50 ohm isolated 0dBm outputs. The input is 50 ohms and is also isolated from the board electronics.

Power required is  a minimum of 5VDC at under 50mA. The maximum input level with a 5VDC power supply is 6dBm. The power supply is not included. With a 10V power supply, the board can take up to 10dBm at the input and produce four 10dBm outputs. The op-amps are rated for 12.5V max, so a well regulated 12V supply could also be used. All noise and harmonics are down more than 60dB from the output at 0dBm and 55dB at 10dBm provided the input limitations are followed, see the last two pictures.  The pictures were made with a 10dB attenuator between the output and the spectrum analyzer so the actual output levels are 10dB higher.

A square wave can also be used as input provided the voltage is about 0.6V P-P (with 5VDC supply) or 2V P-P (with 10VDC supply). A resistor in series with the input can be used to reduce the voltage if needed.

The board is approximately 2.65" by 3.9". The layout (with dimensions for the BNC connector centers) is provided in the pictures, as seen from the top side of the board. Dimensions are in MIL (1/1000 inch). The BNCs can be used to hold the board to a panel.

Unlike other units that share a common driver between outputs, this board has individual drivers for each output. The separate drivers and the output transformers  prevent issues on one output from affecting the others. Also, the transformer and a filter at the input keeps the four outputs closer in phase than distribution amplifiers with filters on each output.

Also, if other listings only show a scope trace of the sine wave, you don't know if the signal is really "clean". Look for a spectrum plot.

This board with the horizontally mounted (white) BNCs will fit on an enclosure front panel with a panel width of at least 4 inches such as Hammond Engineering 1455N1202 enclosure available at Mouser or Digi Key or EBAY item 16362790992, an aluminum 120mm x 97mm x 40mm electronic enclosure for about $14. Note: the input BNC may have to be removed for installation in these enclosures.
