Epiphone Riviera Matsumoku Japan MIJ 1981 - 82 Wine Red.
Super rare 80's Epi (Matsumoku) Riviera.
Made in Japan in 1980 or 1981 at the Matsumoko plant, this model, with Frequensator tailpiece and open coils Maxon MMK-61 humbuckers, was only produced for two years.
As is the case with these models, it wears a tan label visible from the bass side F hole which doesn't carry a serial number - see picture.
Set up professionally a few years ago, and not played much since then. Great low action, some fret wear.
For a 40 year old guitar, it is good condition. Some scratches here and there and a small separation between the body and the binding in one spot. Plays great.
This is the similar model which was played by Noel Gallagher.
