Description

If you're a fan of Dickens, love the art pieces that his memorable characters have inspired, and just plain love eclectic rare and unique pieces, you may want to take a look at this treasure from the UK. This pugnacious pooch is an antique Arcadian Crested ceramic English Bulldog from the 1900's. Believe the real one belonged to Bill Sykes, of Oliver Twist notoriety. Bill, not the neighborly sort, went everywhere with his little ball of puppy fur, Bulls-eye, until he didn't. Actually, Bulls-eye was probably about as nasty and malicious as old Bill. We've always figured Bill's canine companion was a bull terrier but Charles D. never said. Anyway, now you can celebrate that "Up with people" spirit and plant Bullseye right on your side table or mantel. Too big for a pendant. This wonderful porcelain figure is about 5" long and 3 1/2" in height. You will love it.
