Athletic Cut Sizing Note(runs small)- With a chest measurement of 21.5" armpit to armpit laying flat, shirt runs small and would be considered a Nike athletic cut training shirt.  So what is a athletic cut shirt?   A Nike athletic cut shirt is more form fitting and runs slightly smaller than a typical standard-fit Nike shirt.  I would say an athletic cut shirt is roughly a 1/2 size smaller than a same sized standard-fit shirt.  An athletic cut shirt is not anything close in terms of tightness to a fitted or a compression shirt.  It's made out of the same material as a standard-fit Nike shirt.  The most noticeable differences are it's a tad smaller in the chest, sleeves and bottom opening areas.  This gives the shirt a slight comfortable tapered look.  Nike created an athletic cut shirt because most athletes prefer a more streamlined fit when running or doing any type of physical movement during their training.  A looser fit shirt would only get in their way and slow them down.  Nike athletic cut shirts are also the clear choice if you want to highlight a fit more athletic looking upper body.  Please double check your own measurements with the overall measurements below before making any purchase decision.  Thanks.
