Bodhisattva represents a person on the path towards spiritual enlightenment. Bodhisattvas wear elegant clothes and gorgeous accessories such as crowns and necklaces. They are modeled on the princely appearance of historical Buddha before he left home. Bodhisattva are only a step away from enlightenment, but they are more dedicated to saving people than to attaining enlightenment.
