Here is a good condition copy of "DOWN EAST, The Magazine of Maine", for  SEPTEMBER, 1976, Volume XXIII, Number 2. This magazine is still in business, with a much larger distribution than back in its early years in the early 1960s! These early issues are very hard to find nowadays.

This issue is for sale as a back issue by the publisher of "Down East" for $20.00, if they still happen to have a copy of it in stock!!!

This issue has cover art " VILLAGE PROFILE, SHEEPSCOT ", by  F Wenderoth Saunders, of Sheepscot.
