2.5 metres (98 inches) of stretchy/grippy polycord drive band for many makes of single-drive spinning wheel (polycord drive bands are not really suitable for double-drive spinning wheels). 2.5 metres of polycord is more than enough to fit any single-drive spinning wheel (most use less than 2 metres). Supplied with a small wooden jig for supporting the two ends of the band whilst fusing them together, plus detailed, printed, fitting instructions.
My 2mm and 3mm diameter/thick, clear or orange polycord drive bands, are ideal as both direct compatible replacements and also as an upgrade for many makes and models of single-drive spinning wheel. The benefits of a stretchy/grippy polycord drive band over conventional cotton/string bands include: more traction on the whorls (especially the smaller ones); less friction, wear and tear on the bearings; easier drive band adjustment; easier treadling due to the lower tension on the drive band; easier plying.
My 2mm diameter/thick drive bands should be suitable for most single-drive spinning wheels. However, some models may perform better with my 3mm diameter/thick version. These include: Ashford Country Spinner, Ashford Country Spinner 2, Ashford Joy, Ashford Joy 2, Ashford Kiwi, and Ashford Kiwi Super Flyer. Please check which diameter//thickness you require before ordering.
