Ware was first introduced by Gladding, McBean & Co. in 1934, and in 1937
they began producing dinnerware using an earthenware clay called Malinite. The
Malinite clay, which is nearly impervious to crazing, along with the
high-quality glaze resistant to scratching from utensils etc., is how early
Franciscan Ware continues to look great, even 70 years after being produced.
The Apple pattern was introduced in 1940, making it among their earliest and
most popular patterns using the Malinite clay, and is still a popular pattern
to this day.

When packaging your items, we may use gently used packing materials from other sources. We do not dumpster dive for packing materials. When using packing peanuts, we are beginning to transition to biodegradable peanuts to cut down on our plastics use. Soon, we will fully transition to using only biodegradable peanuts, a more costly option; we will absorb this cost rather than passing it on to our customers. We also use much biodegradable or recyclable packing materials. We are fully committed to helping protect the environment.

RETURNS:
We accept any item back within 30 days of the original purchase date for a full refund or exchange from our listings. All returns must come back in the same condition they were shipped out and arrived in. Buyer pays return shipping unless our error.
