These vintage John Bull magazines are a wonderful resource of post-war Britain - giving insight to contemporary thought and ideas. The illustrations, in particular the covers, are fantastic. There are articles and serialisation of many well-known authors’ works, both fiction and non-fiction. And the advertisements are great, too!

In this issue:
  • Cover: Douglas L Mays
  • The Bargain Wife by Richard B Erno
  • Mr Grimaldi’s Happy Marriage Room by Faith Morton - Tottenham Registrar Office - Walter Grimaldi
  • Nancy and the Assassin by Mark Derby
  • Carole Carr climbs to the top of the bill by John Harman
  • Unbroken by Lt-Commander Alastair Mars - Part 7 - We go gunning for Rommel’s supply ships
  • In The Wet by Nevil Shute - Part 5
  • Lucky Jack Solomons by Keith Ellis - Secret battles behind the big fights - Final Part

The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 35cm by 26cm, with 32 pages

Condition: The magazine is in very good condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers, plus a newagents delivery address written on the cover. Given that the magazine is around 65 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
