These vintage Picture Post magazines are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures, and these war-time issues are particularly interesting! And the advertisements are great, too.

In this issue:
  • Cover: ‘Big Game’ - Race Horse trained by Fred Darling for the King
  • The King’s Horses Train for the Derby and Oaks by Charles Fenby
  • Mexico prepares to fight for democracy
  • Recruiting Van draws women to war work by Anne Scott-James
  • Recovering a Tank under Fire by Peter Fletcher
  • Whitehall walks to work
  • Sixteen-year-old Adele Inge does her flying back somersault and makes a safe landing
  • Picture Medley
  • The Government must control the mines by Edward Hulton

The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 35cm by 26cm, with 28 pages

Condition: The magazine is in good condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers & some damage to the edge of the cover at the spine, plus the paper is fragile and tanned with age and the staples have rusted. Given that the magazine is around 75 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
