Fred Agabashian of Albany, Cal., has earned a starting position in each of the last nine Indianapolis Classics for a record unequalled by any other active driver. He has finished among the tor ten on three occasions and he earned the 1952 pole position by setting a new track record in the Cummins Diesel.
