Asparagus densiflorus 'Mazeppa' , Mazeppa Emerald Fern 10 - 100 seeds

Asparagus densiflorus is a small, semi-woody plant with fern-like shoots, native to coastal dunes, rocky outcrops or woodlands from the southeastern Cape in South Africa north to southern Mozambique. The cultivar Mazeppa forms broad, arching shoots with fine, needle-like foliage and a conifer-like appearance. The tiny, white flowers are followed by attractive, bright red berries. It adapts well to a wide variety of situations in warm temperate and tropical climates in USDA Zones 9 to 11 and makes a perfect, low maintenance and drought tolerant ground cover for full sun or shade. It also makes an excellent house plant. In some countries, Asparagus densiflorus is considered an invasive weed.

The seeds are sown in vermiculite or perlite in plastic pots- bigger seeds need to be covered, small seeds should remain on the surface. Then put the plastic pot in a ziplock bag. Fill in the ziplock bag as much tap water with a few drops of universal fertilizer, so that after the absorption of the substrate a few mm of water remains on the bottom. Then close the ziplock bag. More watering is not required because no moisture evaporates through the ziplock bag.
Keep the pot in partial shade, daytime temperatures at about 73-83 F.
