1778 GEORGE III  “Kettle“ imitation spade half Guinea Token.  These were struck by a man named Kettle, but o one is quite sure why. They were not made to pass as counterfeit currency.  This one was struck from worn dies but it appears to be nearly uncirculated.  The pictures all came out as black.  We lightened them to show details but the actual token has a deep rich brown patina.
