• Walter Dexter was a Canadian studio potter who was highly respected for his clean lines and simple forms. Dexter attended the Swedish School of Arts and Crafts in Stockholm where he studied ceramics. He sojourned in Europe for two years after he finished his course in Stockholm. He then lived in England and traveled extensively. He had a studio in Kelowna, Canada from 1963 to 1967 while also engaging in production pottery and renewed his experimental work with Raku.
