Purchased by myself as a Photo Equipment resale item, because it was a  great value for my asking price!

ITEM: Topcon Super D #468134 TESTED w/ Topcor 5.8/1.8 #99007037  & Topcor RE 135/3.5  & Carena 35/2.8 , Nice Tested OUTFIT

MECHANICALLY:
Used condition for it's age of 1963, TESTED working  light meter,( slightly jumpy)  w/, a used old 625 battery working but you need a new 625A, no battery corrosion in the battery box, Shutter speeds all working, B, 1~500th all good; the 1/1000th is NOT working. its a  used Satin Chrome 46A build, with ONE slight bang  bump by the film winder,  in the back. The rest of the body is very nice!  This Topcor lens Ver 2 , a 5.8cm/1.8 #9901668 w/ rare red dot , Was SERVICED  today by me, and Tested.   it is very sharp and clear and professionally made. Iris is working well, rubber grip  is excellent condition,  focus smooth. Optics are superb, no haze, no fungus.  Top quality. Also you get the  Flash Adapter coupler, and a case.  Now I bought this camera on eBay from a bad seller and had  to fixed the mirror return, and the 5.8cm lens, and the prism was all bent up on top. I restored the BESELER prism chrome, as best as a human can, But its not perfect, study the photos carefully please!

Optically:

The camera and lens outsides have the usual bright line marks, slight bang and is 9+ in beauty scale.

History:
This is the 46A build design by Tokyo Kogaku. serial # is around 1963. The speed dial is the THREE color variety Of the Beseler  Super D pedigree. Beseler Super D has only three color speed dial colors. These cameras were also made in Black enamel , BUT; they are very hard to find in 46A build. The lens was tested in 1968 ( By Camera 35) against all SLR 50mm F:1.8 lenses Japanese & German. Topcor 58mm/1.8 beat them all, wide open at 80L/mm. This is why the Beseler Super D received the US Naval  contract and Air Force for military usage, over Nikon F. Those military models are very highly prized today and very expensive on eBay.

USE:

Topcon RE Super, Beseler Super D, Topcon Super D, Topcon Super Dm; camera's. While using the Exakta flange, it  is NOT a Exakta lens and its automation for wide open CDS metering was invented and patented by Toshiba/Topcon in 1963, and set the SLR camera world on fire!  Most users these days use Topcor lenses on adapters to mirrorless late model digital cameras, where they are rated at 80+ L/mm in resolution.

Note:

Beseler Super D ( American Importer) won the US Navy, Air Force & FBI contract for their lenses and Naval version have a red N in the ID ring. the 5.8/1.8, 3.5/2.8, 100/2.8 were all supplied  with infinity locks.
As eBay is paranoid about URL listings in ads, and HISTORY & DATA is so important when buying or working on 1960's Topcon equipment, I started the: " Topcon Beseler Super D & RE Super Cameras",  group on Facebook. If your reading this, join the group, learn what a great camera system Topcon really was, and why they have a large worldwide CULT following.

Security:
Due to unscrupulous buyers on eBay, I have placed my tiny ID mark inside the camera and lens.

I have specialized in the PHOTO  field since 1968 holding  an A.A.S. degree in Photographic Technology from the SUNY - Farmingdale, L.I., NY and check my items out carefully, before listing. I also hold degrees in Earth Science  B.S. & Geo-Physics M.S. & Electronics B.S., and taught electronics for 26 years, so you can be sure I check these items out. These days , I have been known to rebuild Topcon SLR battery compartments and change meter assemblies. I also rebuild bad Topcon Prism assemblies.  Topcon shutter & Mirror problems are very complex, and few want to do this as its NOT always economically worth it.

I use Managed Payments of eBay as my #1 way to be paid fast, and ship fast when you pay fast. Domestic Priority mail is 2-3 Business Days from the post office under best circumstances. That’s there rules, NOT mine. I have a 1 day BUSINESS DAYS  turnaround in sales in house, from the time YOU pay and I RECIEVE  the money, . So together it could be 5 days before you receive your item at times it's USPS, not me! Please be patient, and professional and trusting. Regards, Don
