Yat Ming was founded in Hong Kong by by Mr. Wai Ming Lam in 1970. It has produced diecast cars in various scales up until 2013. In 2015, their diecast line and tooling was purchased by Lucky Industrial Group, which continues to produce the Yat Ming models under their Lucky Die Cast brand as well as the Road Legends, Road Signature and Road Tough series names.

Yat in Chinese means "best" or "number one". The Ming portion came from the founder's name. Yat Ming has sometimes been called "Yatming" due to the name being embossed on some of their cars' baseplates without the space.

This model depicts the Volkswagen W12 Nardo concept car, and is finished in orange.
