The masterpiece fighter of the U.S. Air Force.
The F-16 was born as a small, lightweight air combat fighter, and evolved into a powerful multi-purpose fighter through its superior basic design and gradual improvements.
The F-16C, a developmental model, featured improved radar and cockpit, and in addition to the P&W F100, it could now be equipped with the high-power GE F110 engine.
Among these, the Block 50, delivered in 1991, was equipped with the F110-GE-129 engine, which had a further increase in thrust.
In addition, the type equipped with the ability to operate AGM-88 anti-radar missiles was called the F-16CJ, and was capable of performing Wild Weasel missions to suppress enemy air defense radar.
More than 4,000 F-16s, including derivatives, were produced, making the F-16 the most successful fighter masterpiece of modern times.
Model Details
Plastic model assembly kit of the F-16CJ, a multi-purpose fighter aircraft of the United States Air Force.
Scale 1/32, overall length 475mm, overall width 296mm.
The blended wing body, which gives the F-16 its beautiful form, is represented by molding the upper surfaces of the main wings in one piece with the fuselage.
The main parts of the fuselage are screwed together. The leg columns are die-cast to ensure strength.
The F110-GE-129 engine that characterizes the Block 50 is precisely modeled. The engine can be attached and detached after completion using the slide rail on the top of the engine bay, just like the real engine. A dolly for mounting the engine is also included, so you can enjoy displaying it by itself or creating scenes of maintenance scenes.
The set includes a wide variety of armament including missiles, two types of extra tanks, and an AN/ALQ-184 ECM pod to recreate the armament loading pattern commonly seen on F-16CJs belonging to the U.S. Air Force.
The armor can be removed and replaced by using the poly-cap fastening system, allowing you to enjoy different types of armor for different missions with a single aircraft.
The nose pitot tube and discharge cables on the trailing edge of each wing are made of metal, and the radar antenna surface and chaff/flare dispenser are etched for added strength and texture.
Flapperons, horizontal tail fin, directional rudder and other moving parts can be fixed at popular angles with poly caps.
The leading edge flaps, which can be set in either up or down position, also add movement to the model.
The ejection seat in the cockpit is mounted on slide rails in the same configuration as the actual model and can be detached even after completion.
Includes 1 pilot figure in seated position.
Two types of canopy parts (transparent and smoke) are included.
Air brake at the rear of the fuselage is selectable to open or close.
Tires are made of realistic synthetic rubber. Wheel stopper for parking is also included.
Four types of markings are included, including a Tiger Meat participant with flashy markings on the vertical tail wing and an aircraft participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Masking stickers for painting the canopy and a sheet of safety pin tags are also included.
The armament, canopy, and vertical tail fin with poly caps can be removed from the completed model, and the model can be mounted in the package with the inner lid as a pedestal.
