Here is a good condition copy of "DOWN EAST, The Magazine of Maine", for MAY, 1970, Volume XVI , Number 8. This magazine is still in business, with a much larger distribution now than it had back in the early 1970s! These older issues are getting hard to find nowadays.

                recent Maine news and opinions,

plus lots of vintage Maine related advertisements.

This magazine measures about 8 1/2 by 11 inches, and has 100 pages.

It is in good condition, with clean pages, tight binding, and cover that has moderate wear. There is a small bump on the upper right hand.  The 4 page color center section is missing, but this does not affect any of the articles described above. Inside, this magazine looks like it was hardly read at all.

Great for the diehard Maine history / memorabilia collector! Buyer to pay media mail postage. Please check my other old Down East magazines, I will gladly combine multiple purchases to save you on postage. Thanks for looking!
