3Ro Italian Truck - 90/53 Ammunition Carrier

WWII Lancia 3RO

Lancia 3Ro is an Italian military and civilian truck of the interwar period, World War II and the post-war period. The production of the car was carried out in 1938-1950. The weight of the van was about 5.6 tons, the length was 7.08 meters, and the width was 2.35 meters.
The 3Ro was developed as an extension of the previous Lancia Ro and Ro-Ro trucks.

The Italian truck 3Ro was a 5-cylinder diesel vehicle from the Ro truck line (Ro - 2-cylinder and Ro-Ro - 3-cylinder). Both civilian and military versions were produced between 1938 and 1947. It was the main heavy truck of the Royal Italian Army during World War II, serving in the Balkans, North Africa and the Eastern Front. About 9,500 combat vehicles were produced in many versions: trucks, landing, tank, horse-drawn, gas tanks and others. A large number of trucks were captured by the German Wehrmacht after the Italian armistice on 8 September 1943. Several captured vehicles also served in the allied army, in the heavy part of the LRDG forces.
