Freesias are one of the world’s most popular cut flowers. They are loved for their pure colours, long vase life and sweet perfume. The bulbs may be grown in the Garden or in containers for Winter and  Spring  Blooms.

Freesia’s grow very well amongst Daffodils, Tulips, Hyacinths and other Spring Bulbs

FREESIA General Planting instructions

Planting :  Can be planted from  Late   MARCH – to SPRING
in well-drained soil or in pots.
 For best effect plant them 10 or more in clumps. 8cm deep 
Flowering:  Winter to throughout Spring. 
Watering/ Fertilizing:  Keep moist during dry spells. Use a complete fertilizer or organic manure dug well into the soil prior to planting.
Position Requirements: They can be grown in any climate. However, they prefer full sun./or  half shade
Lifting Time:  Lifting the bulbs from ground isn’t necessary at all. They simply just keep multiplying. However, if you want to lift the bulbs, wait until the foliage has completely died down.
Store them in a dry and airy place, until it is time to plant them next year.
Pest and Diseases:  Generally, trouble free.
