New-Old-Stock Antique American Norton Abrasives Scythe Rifle or Sharpener
This is a wonderful brand-new, never used antique 12-½ inch scythe rifle or sharpener as manufactured by Norton Abrasives back in the time when scythes were a common tool for cutting grass, hay for animals, etc.
The 12-½ inch long tool is 1-¼ inches wide and ¾ of an inch thick. The green wooden handle on which the tool is made is ¼ inch thick but has another ¼ inch of reddish abrasives on each side, exactly as shown in our excellent pictures. A rare antique farm tool rarely found in this wonderful unused condition.
