PORSCHE PCM 3.1 UPDATE SOFTWARE ALL MODELS CAYENNE MACAN.
For anyone with a Porsche and has the PCM 3.1 Software , this updates it from what ever version it's on to the latest compatible version, which fixes Bluetooth dropouts and stability.
This does not upgrade from 3.0. to 3.1
This can not be done via USB and requires the DVD.
The latest is v4.76 if you are on v4.xx.
The latest is v3.43 if you are on v3.xx.
The latest is v2.47 if you are on v2.xx.
& understand you cannot upgrade firmware on the PCM from v2.x to v3.x or to v4.x
If you're currently on v3.xx you will NOT be able to update to v4.xx.

Update your Porsche PCM3.1 unit to the v4.76 which is the latest version available. There are numerous documented bugs and known issues with the PCM 3.1 Head unit such as Bluetooth connectivity problems, random reboots, freezing etc. The latest version is also required if you want to update your Navigation Maps to the latest version or any hardware upgrade such as reverse cameras etc and is a prerequisite for this.
Why update my PCM 3.1 Unit?
The current PCM firmware has known bugs, version 4.76 fixes all the known issues and is the latest version available.
How do I check my current PCM Version?
Press "Info" button located under the PCM screen. Then press "Option" and select "Show System Version" on the PCM screen. The PCM 3.1 unit Typically looks like this and is fitted to 911, Cayenne, Boxster, Cayman and Panamera Models made from 2010 onward.
