A gyroscope is a device that measures orientation. It is very common in consumer electronics, as well as in portable electronic devices and also in video game controllers. The gyroscope detects motion and rotation.

Output: This module generates an output signal from 0V to 5V on one of the two pins when the angle is changed (e.g. if it moves). The level is approximately 2.5V when there is no angle change in the X or Y axis. When you connect this module to the input of an Arduino using the TinkerKit Shield, you can expect to read values between 0 and 1023 by changing the angle of the module.

Module Description: there is a green LED on the board, which indicates that the module is properly powered. The module is based on the LPR5150AL from ST Microelectronics, and is a two-axis gyroscope. The version of this module returns the chip pin amplified 4 times. For more information on this, please have a look at the datasheet.

This module is a SENSOR. Each connector is an OUTPUT which must be connected to one of the INPUT connectors of the TinkerKit Shield.
