Kutbeddin İznikî was a late 14th-century Ottoman mystic known
for his studies in mysticism, Sufism, Shari’a sciences, and even cult
leadership. His writings focused on prayer as a form of worship, fasting, fiqh
study, Islamic pilgrimages, and through which he emphasizes the importance of
the direction of Sheikh.
This 1847 Istanbul printing of Izniki’s work was printed in Arabic with
each page having a double-line border around the text. A truly rare and rather
obscure item found for sale in the English-speaking world.
