About vintage leather:
The vintage leather jackets we sell are common bona fide vintage and some of them have been worn over 50 years. They may need cleaning and might smell slightly musty, be distressed, show patina, blemishes, veins, scars, fading, and minor imperfections; these should not be misconstrued as flaws' as this is what makes each vintage item beautiful and unique, we describe our listings as good, very good and excellent condition. We endeavour to list as precisely as possible pointing out any issues and showing in the pictures provided. If you are new to vintage buying then please take this into account before making your first purchase.
About our dry cleaning and restoration service:
We are a professional family run dry cleaners, leather craftsman and leather restorers based at Keltex Dry Cleaning in Halifax. All the leather garments we sell can be dry cleaned, re-oiled, renovated, reconditioned, we only use natural leather oils and hide foods. We then prime, recolour and apply a hard wearing top coat finish before curing in a temperature controlled humidity room to seal and reproof the leather for many years to come. The work undertaken on this garment is highly skilled and takes around 5-7 days to complete. We only use the highest quality leather products available to the leather and tanning industry UK.
Please note:
Naturally distressed leathers with patina should be left alone as to preserve the character, they can be dry cleaned and reproofed and we will slightly touch them up in places but not entirely unless requested by the buyer.
