The KHIDAKEE RANGE brings you the ultimate in natural furnishings.  It features a simple square area rug woven entirely from sustainable jute.  Many of our eco-friendly ranges use jute but, in the Khidakee range, it has been hand woven with braided detail and it features a plain base with an off-white border stripe design. Please note that since jute is a natural crop, with no dye or chemicals, the colour of your rug may have natural variations and may also vary from the photographs shown.

CHOOSE FROM THREE SIZES - If you are looking to mix and match a little then you will find three sizes to choose from. A medium 120 cm; a large 150 cm and an extra-large 180 cm.   See our other listings for round, rectangle and oval versions of the Khidakee.

ETHICALLY SOURCED - Produced by one of our favourite GoodWeave suppliers and part of a closed network of certified producers. Each rug is individually numbered so that you can be sure of its unique handling and its ethical source. Our certification fees help to fund premises inspection and education centres for children and young people.

ECO-FRIENDLY - This sustainable vegetable fibre is sometimes referred to as the 'Golden Fibre’ and you can see why! Jute comes from one of the fastest growing plant types and its long, strong fibres make it ideal for weaving.  The flat weave style is hand woven on a traditional loom and no machinery is involved. Each one is unique.

CARE OF YOUR RUG - The finished piece is reversible meaning that it can be rolled up when not in use. It can be shaken, or spot cleaned if necessary. If placing on a hard floor with heavy footfall, then you may wish to use rug mesh or similar to hold the rug in place.  Take care to avoid colour transfer if the rug becomes damp or in contact with sensitive surfaces.
