LPs ARE ONLY RATED VISUALLY UNDER STRONG LIGHT OF A LAMP.
In the evaluation we always try to be "CAUTIOUS" and almost never use "MINT",
as we believe that only a new, sealed and just released record can have
the characteristics to be defined as MINT.
LPs are graded visually and conservatively under bright lights.
LPs ARE RATED ACCORDING TO THE "RECORD COLLECTOR" RATING SYSTEM
as follows:
SS = Still Sealed: Disc still sealed.
M = Mint: Perfect record, new vinyl with no marks. Perfect cover and inner envelope,
no signs of wear.
NM = Near Mint: Very small defects, some signs of use on the cover, but handled with care
a lot of care. The vinyl sounds perfect, almost like new.
EX = Excellent: Shows some signs of more marked use which does not affect its quality,
both in the cover and on the vinyl. There may be some small defects.
VG = Very Good: Still satisfactory in appearance, but signs of wear may be present
such as light scuffs or scratches, although it plays well with a few clicks or pops every now and then.
Possible light rustling and non-persistent creaking.
The cover may have signs of wear on the spine, slight cleavage at the edges,
slight trace of ring wear, small stickers or small writing.
G = Good: Perceptible cracks and pops when listening, marked wear on the cover.
Heavily used disc with marked noise or severely damaged but does not skip.
Cover worn and/or stains and/or writing and/or tears but with no missing parts.
F = Fair: Record still playable but which has not been treated with care and has notable noises
background and might even jump in some places.
The cover is worn and has stains and/or writing and/or tears and may also have missing parts.
Disc to buy just to have it.
P = Poor: Very scratched disc, with strong background noise and skipping in several places.
The cover and other contents of the disc are very damaged or with parts missing.
Disc to buy just to have it.
The signs (+) and (-) next to the symbol, in order, increase or decrease its meaning.

MINT: THE RECORD ITSELF IS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO SURFACE MARKS
OR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY.
THE COVER AND ANY EXTRA ITEMS ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION.
NEAR MINT: IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO SURFACE MARKS OR DETERIORATION
IN SOUND QUALITY.
COVER AND CONTENTS NEARLY PERFECT.
EXCELLENT: THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS
VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY.
THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND / OR CREASING.
VERY GOOD+ = BETTER THAN VERY GOOD: OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED BUT NO SIGNIFICANT
DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY DESPITE LIGHT SURFACE MARKS.
VERY LITTLE WEAR AND TEAR ON COVER AND CONTENTS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS.
VERY GOOD: THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS
NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, EXCEPT NOTICABLE SURFACE MARKS
AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH.
NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS,
IS ACCEPTABLE.
GOOD: THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLE
DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES.
THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS,
DISCOLORATION, ETC.
FAIR: STILL JUST PLAYABLE BUT HAS NOT BEEN CARED FOR PROPERLY AND DISPLAYS
CONSIDERABLE SURFACE NOISE - IT MAY EVEN JUMP.
