Steve Kaufman (1960-2010): Californian Artist Steve Kaufman opened his Los Angeles art studio, The Art Studio, in August 2000 to herald in a vibrant new era of art and social progress for the 21st century. As Andy Warhol's legman and creative assistant for nearly 10 years, he is now known as the "Prince of Pop Art", and the only painter ever to be awarded commissions by BOTH the Van Gogh and Picasso estates, Steve Kaufman specializes in the here and now, capturing the excitement and cultural ebb and flow of his generation.
