Description:

Hematite is a mineral, colored black to steel or silver-gray, brown to reddish brown, or red. It is mined as the main ore of iron.

The term hematite is derived from a Greek word “haima” meaning blood. It is associated with the Greek god of war, Ares, and the Romans god of war, Mars. The Romans adorned themselves with hematite, and used the mineral to paint their faces. This provided strength, and made them fearless and invincible.

Metaphysical Properties:

Hematite is used to improve relationships. If you need your personal relationship to be better, carry a hematite with you always. Hematite is good for increasing intuition. In jewellery it is best in a ring worn on the left hand.

Hematite stimulates iron absorption in the small intestine, which in turn improves oxygen supply to the body. It can be in direct contact with the skin, but results in inflammation for some people, so test it carefully on your self before use.
