CAMPAGNOLO downtube shifter adapter, sublimely refashioned by Paddythepeddler!
Retrofitted with current industry-standard bosses (universal index shifter compatible)! Allows the installation of the virtually all index-era downtube shifters, not just Campagnolo. These bosses are also compatible with all shift-cable barrel adjusters for Shimano STI, Campagnolo Ergo, and SRAM road bike shifters.
Paddythepeddler has spent hours refashioning this set! A fine example of hand-crafted metal work and the welder's art!
Original band has been re-worked to create 31.8MM INSIDE DIAMETER. -- only obtainable from Paddythepeddler.
The included shim makes the adapter ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH 28.6MM DIAMETER TUBING.
Better and stronger than new! The original bosses on the vintage used Campagnolo clamp have been removed, and a replacement pair of brand-new industry-standard bosses welded-on in their stead. The shim has been cut and shaped and polished by hand. Hours of hand metal work is invested in this set! The new bosses are welded perfectly square and true, for perfect alignment and a clean appearance on your downtube.
The original band is chromed steel, the bosses and all added welded metal is stainless steel.. Welds are highly polished. The shim is made of 6061 aircraft grade aluminum.
Original band is in MINT CONDITION, with no significant defects. Welded bosses are brand-new. New stainless steel bolt and nut added to the deal.
TIP FOR INSTALLING SHIM. See last two photos. A piece of thick plastic packing tape on each leading edge of the shim will help facilitate installing on your 28.6mm diameter downtube, preventing paint damage or scratching. Shim will come with it.
