Product Description: Is the dome light on your Chevy or GMC truck light staying on even when you close the door, or not coming on even when you open the door? The problem can usually be traced to the Door Mounted Interior Dome Light Switch. Replacement is cheap and easy, with only a single screw holding it in and a connector on the back. Don't let this problem go on too long, as a failed dome light switch can cause your vehicle's interior light and computer systems to stay on, creating a parasitic drain on the battery which leads to a more expensive battery replacement. Tech Notes: Check the wiring harness connector for any corrosion before installation. If corrosion is present, clean the connector terminals with a wire brush and electronics cleaner, and apply dielectric grease to all exposed terminals before installing the new switch to prevent future issues.
