Janet Reger London, ivory silk and lace collection, Style 583:  French Knickers in ivory silk satin with fine matte ivory floral sheer lace down each hip side with open slits up from the bottom to the middle and the sheer lace continuing to the waist band.  Some of the lace is appliqued over the silk at the sides but those parts and the cut outs of the flowers, leaves and petals are showing the soft curves agains the silk so there are no hard lines.  The contrast of the shine in the silk and the matte of the lace enhances the beauty of these French Knickers.

There are four main panels, with central seams down the front and back and the seams at the hip sides hardly show due to the slits from the bottom to the middle and then above the flowers cunningly overlap so there is not a straight line up to the waistband. An ivory satin bow with long tails topps the front central seam, at the waistband.   The waistband has the silk and lace oversewn over a narrow band of elastic and secured with ivory zig-zag stitching.  The bottom edge of these knickers finish with large soft waves with scallops outside them, with a twisted eyelash finish around the hip sides and along the front and back leg sides where there is no lace, and around the gusset there is a narrow band of ivory lace with a repeat pattern of empty circles with a fine wavy edge.  The gusset is lined with ivory Jersey cotton.

There is a good weight to the silk in these knickers and they feel lovely, the lace is soft too, so they hang well.  These French Knickers are composed of 100% silk, excluding the trim, and these knickers may be hand washed in cool water;  a cool iron may be used.
