Vintage syroco fireplace figurine/bookend. 

It is heavy. Notice the detail- with the ship, the pipe, and the bear skin rug.

There is damage in the top right corner, and the left bottom corner.

This used to be part of a set, but would make a unique figurine on your shelf.

Dimensions are 6 1/2 inches tall, 4 3/4 inches wide, and 1 3/4 inches thick.
