And, Edge seems as though he were destined for stardom

In high school, he was voted as "Most Likely to Be WWE Champion." So, in 1997, destiny would soon start playing itself out

Edge was officially signed to the WWE and two years later, he won his first singles championship, the WWE Intercontinental Championship. After this first victory, Edge was known as a solid singles competitor and continued to rack up championships

Edge was also a strong tag team partner

After he and his partner lost a match to The Rock and Undertaker, a heated history remained between Edge and Undertaker. In 2007, Edge refused to have his soul snatched by Undertaker

Rather, he had the honor of claiming the World Heavyweight Championship when he overpowered an already battered Deadman at Armageddon

In 2008, however, Undertaker wanted a revival

The next showdown for the two took place at WrestleMania XXIV where the "Ultimate Opportunist" lost his edge. Dreaming about making it to WrestleMania for nearly 20 years, Edge was ready to really bury Undertaker

Emerging from a coffin, Undertaker could not be put away

He attacked the Edge and choke slammed him into the coffin

This time, the Edge was not sharp enough for Undertaker's dark moves and he was the one left defeated.
