Living in Clip is a live album by singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco, released on April 22, 1997
on Ani's own independent record label, Righteous Babe Records.
The title is from a comment made by live sound engineer Larry Berger,
indicating that the amplifiers weren't merely being overdriven into clipping occasionally;
they were clipping so much that they were "living in clip".
Rolling Stone named "Living In Clip" one of "The Essential Recordings of the ‘90s".
It reached number 59 on The Billboard Top 200 Album Chart in 1997.
It contains thirty one songs all written by DiFranco, except for the traditional hymn "Amazing Grace".
Former The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson's NBC Orchestra bandleader and jazz trumpeter
Doc Severinsen conducts the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on two songs "Amazing Grace" and "Both Hands".
