Up for auction is a 1784 Payment Certificate to William Samuel Johnson for Service in the Continental Army
.   This certificate is dated July 5, 1784.  This note was issued as a certificate for payment of Thirty Four Pounds Fourteen Shillings and Eight Pence to William Samuel Johnson for his Service in the Continental Army. William Samuel Johnson represented Connecticut and he helped debate, draft and sign the Constitution of the United States.  He also served as a United States Senator.  This note was endorsed on the back by Johnson.  This is a gorgeous note of massive historical significance.  This bill is a must have for any collector of Obsolete Currency!
