On sale is this 17 volume set of works of J.M. Barrie, beautifully bound in blue soft leather with elaborate gold embossings. This edition was co-published by Hodder and Stoughton and Cassell & Co. Sir James Matthew Barrie, 1st Baronet, OM (9 May 1860 – 19 June 1937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright, best remembered as the creator of Peter Pan. He was born and educated in Scotland and then moved to London, where he wrote several successful novels and plays.


Condition report: Mixed condition. Spines are all still very bright and display wonderfully. Some boards show clear signs of wear, others look hardly used. Edges foxed to varying degrees. Inside, some volumes with foxing, others basically like new as shown on the photos. Some vols with previous owner's inscriptions.
