Grace Nell Hewell JugGrace Nell Hewell was an integral part of the Hewell Pottery team in Gilllsville, GA as the wife of the original Harold "Bud" Hewell. She is an expert potter herself who used the native red Georgia clay and tobacco spit or alkaline glazes. The Hewells have become one of the premier folk art potters and still fire all their pottery in traditional wood burning kilns.


This beautitful, Ugly Face jug is 7" high. This Jug has a lot of character!. It is signed on the bottom by Grace Nell Hewell and dated 2009. This heavy piece will be insured. It is in excellent condition-no chips, cracks, repairs, etc. This is a beautiful piece for origfolk art collectors, and it is in pristine condition.
