DESCRIPTION:

Antique Gustavian grey hand painted longcase clock early 19th century grandfather clock hand painted dial.

Danish Empire Gustavian grandfather clock with carved hand painted gray long case with original working 8 day movement. 

The tall case in typical Gustavian light grey hand painted finish and with carvings and patina.

The clock case of the provincial Empire period and of neoclassical design stems from the island of Bornholm Denmark.

 The brass clock mechanism with  top mounted large bell and twin cast iron weights. The bell strikes the hour count. A long brass pendulum is housed within the case.

The mechanism has recently been cleaned and oiled and is working well.

The antique longcase clock face with hand painted silvered face with Arabic numerals in black on silver with the superb cut brass Bruguet style hands .

Original two train movement with winding key.

The hand painted case with top mounted glass door clock cabinet or surrounded and two glass side windows to view the works..

The main body with a solid fielded panel door to front for pendulum and weight access with traditional steel key on spring lock. This is flanked by column corners.

The Gustavian carved mouldings to the case in the provincial manner complete with pegged joints in the 18th century tradition.

Sadly ebay policy is that they will not allow us to give you their contact details. WHY ?  .I dont know and have put this to ebay countless times without resolution. All carriers work independently of our company.


All purchases must be picked up within 14 days unless with prior arrangements.

Any goods remaining after 30 days will be treated as uncollected and abandoned goods. The purchaser fully acknowledges this notice at the time of bidding and any deposits received are forfeited to the seller in order to recover any restocking fees and storage charges. 

Abandoned goods may be disposed of by the seller in whatever manner is chosen. We are sorry to have to note this clause in our listing but are no longer able to store items indefinitely and for free.

Refunds Policy: Buyer must contact the seller within seven days of close of sale. 


Third party costs such as Postage, Insurance, shipping charges, freight, customs duty etc  will not be refunded.

Although we try to ensure all the descriptions are true and correct at time of listing due to the number of listings sometimes minor errors may occur . If this happens we will end a listing early..but not to worry, it will soon be re-listed with the correct information  unless sold prior as all items are advertised elsewhere and only some get listed on ebay.
