Antique 19th C. Tin Toleware Hand Painted Tray Courtship Man Woman Dog Folk Art.

This is a terrific tole tray just the way you want to find them.  This tray is in excellent condition with very few flaws. This is known as the courtship tray depicting a man and woman with a dog by their side. A farmhouse is in the distance, with birds flying above. The couple are nicely dressed while gazing into each other's eyes. Trees surround them with flowers on either side. A florial design wraps the edges of the tray. The back of the tray is as black as coal.  The only flaws are two minor scratches and a few tiny dents nearly unnoticeable. Crazing as expected. See pictures. The tray is made of tin and only weighs nearly 1 lb. It is 16  3/8  x  12  x  1 inch.
