2 Mid-Century Hagen Renaker Mosaic Blue Horse Faux Rock Flagstone Wall Plaques

During the late 1950’s, the highly prestigious Hagen-Renaker Pottery of San Dimas, California, produced the most stunning plaques and wall hanging figures which covered a variety of subjects from butterflies, horses, fish and a bison to still life.

In partnership with her husband John, Maxine co-founded the Hagen-Renaker Pottery in Monrovia California in 1945. In 1965 the company moved to 914 Cienega, San Dimas, California where it continued to operate until 2021.

There are various types of Hagen-Renaker plaques, all are very rare to find.  It is especially difficult to find the two matching pieces that remained together.

These two wall-plaques feature blue 'mosaic' horses with white manes facing each other rearing up onto their hind legs.  The plaques were made to resemble Arizona Flagstone with primitive decorations similar to cave dwellings.  A ruler in the photographs is there to illustrate the size.  These plaques are perfect for your mid-century decor!
