Description:
Overview:
This is a Mino-Iga-Yaki (ware) vase in perfect condition made for tea ceremony and Ikebana by a legend artist KAWAMOTO Ryosei.

Ryosei (1948 ~ 2004) was born and worked in Gifu prefecture, Japan, which is one of the oldest and reputable areas where the finest quality of potteries has been produced for 1,000 years.
Ryosei built his own Ana-Gama (kiln) there and produced excellent tea utensils.

He engraved his mark at the outside surface of the bottom (photo #12 & 13). He beautifully drew Mino-Iga-Vase (in Japanese 美濃伊賀花入) and signed Ryosei (了生) on the original wooden box (photo #6).

The flower arrangements (photo #1, 3 & 14) are just examples. You can do much better.  :-)  :-)
