Description

Made to Measure Lined Curtains with an Eyelet Heading using an iLiv Postcards fabric.

This listing is initially to purchase a sample of the main fabric together with standard and blackout lining for your inspection.

Fabric - The fabric used to make these curtains is a 100% cotton print from iLiv - Design name: Postcards, Colourway: Grey. Linings to be used are a standard poly-cotton twill lining in cream or a 100% polyester blackout lining in ivory. Both are quality products from Edmund Bell.

This is quite a sturdy, robust fabric and drapes well with an eyelet heading. I have used the antique copper eyelets for the curtains in the images above.

Please note that as the fabric is 54" (137cm) wide any curtains made for windows wider than this will have a join with a pattern matched seam.

It is possible to purchase the fabric alone at £8.00 per metre.

Eyelet Heading - Eight 40mm Eyelets per width of fabric are permanently punched individually by hand through a stiffened buckram heading tape which is inserted between the fabric and the lining.

The finished drop measurement for Eyelet Headed curtains is taken from the inside top of the eyelet (which sits on top of the pole) and doesn't include the 1 1/4 inches (3cm) heading which I add on automatically.

There are nine eyelet colour variants to choose from - see the photo above.

Samples - As computer screens have their limits in colour reproduction small A4 size samples of your chosen fabric and linings are available for a small charge (to help with postage costs) so that you can feel the texture and see the colour of the fabric in the real life setting of your own home. Simply order from this listing and I'll get the samples in the mail for you ASAP.

Both lining choices are included with your fabric sample order.

Ordering & Pricing - When you have examined your sample fabric and are interested in ordering your custom made curtains please use the 'Contact Seller' link at the right of this listing to let me know your requirements. I will set up a new personal listing and send you a link to it which will enable you to order and make a payment.

Prices of finished curtains for your information are shown in the Price Guide images above - for both Standard Lining and Blackout Lining.

Delivery - Depending on my workload delivery will be between 14 and 21 days from the date of your order (sometimes quicker). At very busy times (around Christmas) delivery times may be up to 28 days but I will always keep you informed of the progress of your order. All orders will be sent tracked and signed for, usually via 48 hour Parcel Force or other trusted Courier.

My Guarantee - I take pride in my work. I have been making curtains and soft furnishings for 40 years and have had many happy customers. I'm sure you will be happy with your order but if you do have any problems please be assured I am here to help and will always give you my full attention.

All my lined curtains have hand sewn hems to avoid any unsightly machine stitching on the face fabric. I can also make other items such as tie backs, cushion covers and drum lampshades to complement your curtains.

I make every effort to get the colours in my photographs as accurate as possible on my screen. However, different monitors do vary slightly in how they render colours.
