The coin is round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is grained.

Obverse
at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center - the image of a small bird on the palms, below it is the year of minting (on the silver - the alloy test); around the circle of the inscription: at the top - the REPUBLIC OF BELARUS, at the bottom - the denomination of 10 RUBLES (on silver) and 1 RUBEL (on copper-nickel).

Reverse
in the center - a relief image of the common kestrel (it was recognized in Belarus in 2010 as the Bird of the Year); inscriptions around the circle: on the left - THE BIRD OF THE YEAR, on the right - THE OUTSTANDING KESTALGA.
