Great Orange Tip - Hebomoia glaucippe

Distribution: China, Nepal-India, Japan, SA Asia
This species is generally found in woodlands and shrublands near its host plants, and occasionally occurring in urban plants. As a swift flyer, it often visits flowers for nectar. Males are known to have hilltopping and puddling behaviour.
Males are mainly white on the upperside, with a large orange patch on the forewings.Females are more intensely yellow on the upperside, with developed black spots. Underside is streaked brown, which resembles a dead leaf.
